Here at Apollo Display Technologies, we’re experts at providing our customers with top-of-the-line, custom TFT displays to meet their business needs and goals. TFT displays are helpful to share information with employees, visitors, and customers and can be found in many stores, facilities, offices, and more. But how exactly do these TFT displays work? Well, we have the answers for you:
How TFT Displays work
TFT displays utilize both chemical and physical electrical properties to project visible imagery onto a screen. First, the electrical charge causes a molecular change for the liquid crystals allowing different wavelengths of back-light to pass through. Then, the back-light of bright white light or LED light is used to generate the picture.
The TFT panel, part of the display, has several layers of filters, including color filters, polarizing filters, and more that are optically bonded to glass panels for a tight seal and a clear, bright image. The filters determine how much light and which colors pass through and will be seen on the display. Thus, each display can be designed to match your needs.
