Tips for Successful Summer Digital Signage

July 7, 2020

The summer weather brings a lot of foot traffic out and about, making the need for outdoor signage more vital than before. Though the traditional print ad might catch a consumer or passerby’s eye, when you strategically place your digital signage, you can not only get the attention of the consumers you are looking for, you have more freedom of the messages you want to project too.

When it comes to your summer signs, here are a few things to always keep in mind:

Consider Foot Traffic

Are your signs easy to see if someone was walking on by? Does your message hold attention? Now is the time to think about where you place your messages and how often you change them. With digital signage, you can easily change your message daily or within minutes if need be, making it great for high traffic areas. You could potentially share a new message to locals every day, without waiting for the printers.

But Be Mindful of the Season

Depending on your location, you’ll want to keep rain and heat in mind. Be sure your signs are not always in direct sunlight. But be sure to pick a place that is adequately covered yet often accessed.

Consider Movement

A static message with bold imagery can help catch eyes, but what about a moving or ever-changing message? Not only will you stand out against the rest, but you are also more likely to get a consumer to stop, read, and possibly come in based on your modern display.
